Dr. Fred Calef III is a Geologist and Data Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He’s been working on Mars missions for over eight years doing geospatial landing site analysis, mission operations, traverse analysis, and mapping scientific observations for the Opportunity, Curiosity, and Perseverance rovers as well as the InSight lander. His scientific interest is in small fresh craters on Mars and what the tell us about the current and past Martian environment.
